Burbank Recovery Center provides Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) treatment for primary mental health conditions, delivered by telehealth. Placement is based on a documented level-of-care assessment at admission and is re-evaluated throughout the episode of care.

Care is directed by a psychiatrist and delivered by licensed therapists and case managers. Every client receives a psychiatric evaluation, medication management as indicated, and an individualized treatment plan with measurable goals.

Admission and continued-stay decisions follow established medical-necessity criteria. We document current symptoms, functional impairment, risk, and why a lower level of care is not sufficient.
Clinical Services
Psychiatric Evaluation & Medication Management
Initial psychiatric evaluation, DSM-5-TR diagnosis, and ongoing medication management by a psychiatrist.
Individual Therapy
Weekly individual sessions with a licensed therapist, documented against the goals and objectives in the client's treatment plan.
Group Therapy
Structured, evidence-based skills and process groups each program day, with attendance and participation documented per session.
Family Program
Family sessions and education that support the client's treatment goals and discharge plan.
Case Management & Discharge Planning
Discharge planning begins at admission. Case managers coordinate step-down care, outpatient providers, and community resources.
Measurement-Based Care
Standardized instruments, including the PHQ-9, GAD-7, C-SSRS, and LOCUS, are administered at admission and at regular intervals to track clinical response.
Insurance & Utilization Review
Out-of-Network PPO
Burbank Recovery Center is an out-of-network provider and works with most commercial PPO plans.

Benefits are verified before admission, and each client receives an explanation of coverage and estimated financial responsibility.
Pre-Authorization
Where the plan requires it, we submit clinical documentation supporting medical necessity before admission.
Concurrent Review
Our utilization review staff provide timely clinical updates covering current symptoms, updated assessment scores, and response to treatment. Peer-to-peer reviews are scheduled on request.
Records & Compliance
Clinical records are maintained in an electronic health record and released in accordance with HIPAA and California law.
